Walk For Water 2010
On May 22nd, Team Shutter Speed & I will walk for water! Walk for Water is a 4-mile walk that replicates the journey taken by thousands of women & children everyday in search of water for their families. SHUTTER SPEED will walk 2 miles to the water collection point. Each team member will collect 2 gallons of water & carry the water 2 miles back to the starting point. The money that Team Shutter Speed raises will be donated (through Project Restore) to the people of Namulong who desperately need clean water! I got a call from my friend Tyler Sickmeyer a couple weeks ago highly recommending having this band called Sixteen Cities play at Render while they were on tour here in the Midwest. He played a couple of their songs & convinced me immediately upon hearing. Let me just say, not only are these guys talented musicians, but they have sincere hearts & they’re just all around great guys. They led worship at Render Sunday night & also played a set of their own music.
