MLK Day of Service

A bunch of us from Render, the college/careers ministry I direct, met at 7:45am & booked it out to World Impact in St. Louis.  I absolutely love World Impact for the work that they do in the inner city of St. Louis. My friend Katherine always does a fantastic job pulling everyone together to make a difference. Last I heard, she was responsible for getting around 60 volunteers for MLK Day of Service, but I’m sure it was probably more. From the World Impact building, we took off for Turner Middle School in St. Louis & teamed up with United Way & Americorps. TWLOHA – My First Art Gallery

Recently, I was asked to participate in a special event promoting TWLOHA.com at a church near where I live called Gracepoint. They flew in a guest speaker Kelsey Kinstle to talk about her experience with cutting & depression. She did an amazing job! As she spoke about the things that she had gone through, it brought tears to my eyes. If you saw her now, you’d never know she had gone through anything. God has healed her wounds.
