Tyler of 5Stone Marketing
Tyler Sickmeyer & I go back a few years now. He & I met at Greenville College through a mutual friend at Agape Music Festival. We soon became great friends & business partners with a great mutual respect for each other. Tyler fits the description of a young entrepreneur more than anyone I know! He exudes motivation & I know he will succeed in whatever he does. Check out Tyler’s company, 5Stone Marketing. We took some time to catch up a few days ago & he needed a portrait studio session for a marketing magazine that will feature some of his ideas in an...
Read MoreMy 30 Favorite Photos In 2010
Last year, I put up a blog post called “My 25 Favorite Photos in 2009.” This year, I had a little trouble narrowing it down to just 25 photos! I actually have several more that I didn’t post that I’ll save for next year. The following photos are organized randomly & are numbered for reference purposes only. Thanks for taking the time to look! “I just want to take a second & say thanks to everyone who has supported me in...

I recently had the opportunity to shoot for Armando Heredia. He is a friend of mine, an author, a family man, & a reclamation artist among many other things. I have the utmost respect for him & for his work. Here are some of my favorite pieces (unedited) from the shoot. I think my top favorite is a piece Armando named “Icarus” after the Greek myth. Plus, it reminded me of my favorite Jars of Clay song called “Worlds Apart” where they mention Icarus. Anyway, I wish I could have kept them all to hang in my...

The Sixteen Cities photos are finally here! Sunday night, the guys came out & played a show for Render. It was increidible & everyone there absolutely loved them. A couple days later, we took a video of the guys getting their hair cut at Sizzor Shak. If you haven’t seen it yet, CHECK IT OUT! Then, we planned a shoot in front of this sweet old house that was falling apart. Not even a week later, someone had the house torn down. There’s a gallery at the bottom of the page, but check out this photo first: I know several of you have been dying to see the behind-the-scenes...
Read MoreWinter Set With Kim Luebcke
Sometime before Christmas, I was with my good friend Kim Luebcke taking a few shots in my studio. By the way, Kim was named the “2008 Youth of the Year” by Modern Arabian Horse Magazine. How cool is that? The photo below links over to the magazine she got the cover for: Kim’s grandma (I think) made her a couple of knitted hats & I took a few headshots of her in them. I also had an elf-eared hat she wore for some of them as a joke, but one of these days, I’ll be sure to use a couple of those in a winter ad. I love how they turned out! Here they...
