by Kyle Weber

My once crestfallen heart, stirred up in love.
This ignited soul burns, pleading with these hands.
Should this requisition go unnoticed?
Or shall they make use of the mercy God has granted them?

My sight & soul grow aware.
Your somber chest revealed.
I sense agony in every swelling, aching beat,
A despairing heart cries out for its Guardian.

My hands will break & unravel,
Reaching out to you.
Stretched open to reconcile a heart of anguish to its Rescuer.
This very moment appointed to this place.

My breath laid down for you,
For I, too, have played the part of broken-hearted.
The touch of salvation emerged,
And my soul saved by heaven’s gentle grasp.

For in the hour of my faintest desperation,
Grace sought me.
