Where Did May Go?
I cannot believe how fast May passed this year. So much has happened & I have kept so busy, but I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot in the past 30 days. One of the things that excites me the most is that I finally put my photography in a gallery. I have wanted to for years now & I finally took the time to get everything organized. I’ll eventually get a couple photos of the display to show all of you. For anyone in the St. Louis area, feel free to drop by Urban:Art/Gallery 101 on Main Street in Collinsville, IL. This is the most recent photo I’ve added to my art...

Calling all fans of fashion & modeling, fans of hair & make up, voting for Sizzor Shak’s Next Top Model has officially begun. The wonderful “Shak Girls” of Sizzor Shak & I started this project in February & it seems like years ago. The much anticipated voting week has arrived & I know each SSNTM contestant has rallied every family member, ever friend, & possibly every creepy stalker guy to help her win the illustrious title of “Sizzor Shak’s Next Top Model.” Every vote counts & I can already tell that this race will probably end...

I got a call from my friend Tyler Sickmeyer a couple weeks ago highly recommending having this band called Sixteen Cities play at Render while they were on tour here in the Midwest. He played a couple of their songs & convinced me immediately upon hearing. Let me just say, not only are these guys talented musicians, but they have sincere hearts & they’re just all around great guys. They led worship at Render Sunday night & also played a set of their own music. I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate Render’s 4th birthday and I know everyone who attended...
Read MoreApple iPad Apps
I have discussed the Apple iPad several times in the past few weeks, mostly with my brother Blake Weber. I think anyone who owns an iPhone or an iPod Touch wants to wrap their mind around why they would want this sleek new gadget. We started listing some of the iPhone Apps that we really like for what we thought could be much more useful on a bigger screen. Mail, Photos, iBook, or anything Apple features in their commercials for the iPad strike me as obvious apps that would be more useful, but something that Blake & I agreed on that would greatly improve is board game apps. My sister...

Do you have any mixed feelings about the new Apple iPad? I definitely do. I feel excited about the possibilities of it, but on the other hand, my brain is saying, “Okay really Kyle, is this something you need & can’t live without?” If you’re not an Apple user, if you don’t have an iPhone, a MacBook, or an iPod Touch, you probably don’t even see why the iPad is a sweet little invention. Just think about how the iPhone literally changed the mobile phone industry. I never intended on leaving my former mobile carrier until the moment I saw the keynote...

How do actors & singers end up being so big? How do they make so much money & live the high life? Here’s the secret: fans decide. Every time we buy a CD, go to their concerts, go to the movies, etc. Their fans give them the opportunity to stand on that stage, give their “thank you” speech, & accept their award. Well, sometimes the artist gets to give an entire “thank you” speech, for instance: So what’s the point of this post, you ask? Is it that I’m so intrigued with celebrity gossip that I couldn’t wait to tell the world? Not...
